On January 19, 2012, Star Gas Partners, L.P., a Delaware partnership (the "Partnership"), issued a press release declaring its quarterly distribution on all units for the fiscal first quarter ending December 31, 2011. A copy of the press release is furnished within this report as Exhibit 99.1.

STAMFORD, Conn., Jan. 19, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Star Gas Partners, L.P. (the "Partnership" or "Star") (NYSE:SGU), a home energy distributor and services provider specializing in heating oil, today declared its quarterly distribution of $0.0775 per common unit for the fiscal 2012 first quarter ended December 31, 2011.
