Star Gas Partners, L.P. Announces Proposed Offering of $125 Million of Senior Notes

STAMFORD, Conn., Nov. 9, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Star Gas Partners, L.P. (the "Partnership" or "Star") (NYSE:SGU), a home energy distributor and services provider specializing in heating oil, and its subsidiary, Star Gas Finance Company, today announced that, subject to market conditions, they intend to offer $125 million aggregate principal amount of senior notes due 2017 in an offering pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended (the "Securities Act"). The Partnership intends to use a portion of the net proceeds from the offering to purchase any and all of its outstanding 10.25% notes due 2013, which currently equate to approximately $82.5 million. All remaining cash will be utilized for general Partnership purposes.
